BBC Proms in the Park - Hyde Park


A star-studded cast of artists will front the tenth BBC Proms in the Park in London’s Hyde Park.

This year’s concert will celebrate the Centenary of the Sea Songs and will see a line up including Andrea Bocelli, G4, Nicola Benedetti, the teenage violin sensation who last year won the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition, and the BBC Orchestra conducted by Carl Davies

This year the Royal Choral Society will lead the celebrations which begin in the late afternoon when Radio 2’s Ken Bruce presents entertainment including La Bottine Souriante, BBC Big Band conducted by Barry Forgie with guest vocalist Clare Teal, Queen Tribute band - Gary Mullen and the Works.

Once again the evening will be compared by Terry Wogan with this year’s special guests Simply Red.

The event is broadcast on BBC television and radio across the World with the grand finale from the Royal Albert Hall shown by live feed on giant screens.
